In the USA, Memorial Day is celebrated on the last Monday of May. It commemorates U.S. men and women who died while in the military service. Patriotism, bravery, nationalism and devotion are what describes the people to be honored on this day. Here in the Philippines, this day is called Araw ng Kagitingan and is not celebrated on the same day as Memorial Day though (April 9).
