Because we are living in a continuously growing world of technology, IT careers are in demand and are much needed. There are so many people out there who have an IT career. Therefore one should be extraordinary enough to make it higher.
Getting yourself indulged in the IT field is not an overnight task. True, that learning how to use a computer takes a short time but there's more to that in the IT world. IT people create, discover and innovate. If you want to get a position in the IT world, you must have those three in mind. I must have those three in mind because I will be entering this field as soon as I graduate.
With the advent of ELearning or electronic learning, getting yourself taught with information technology modules and information has become easier. Schooling at home and online, sounds good for those who would really want to get it far in the IT world but can't make it to ordinary school because of other priorities. E-Learning is very useful for those who already have work or those who are stay-at-home.
So what can e-learning centers teach you? Usually, the topics handled would be the basics, then Microsoft products and languages, open-source programming, networking, servers, database, security (an in-demand field) and virtualization. All of those can be learned at any prestigious university but it can also be learned online. The only difference is that the e-learning student would give more effort in learning the subjects.
In the IT field, tomorrow is an open field. There are so many possibilities. A lot change everyday. If you want to go with the ride, be prepared.
