Aloe Vera And You

Did you know that Cleopatra was documented to have used aloe vera in her life? Researches said that Cleopatra used the aloe gel on her skin to protect it from the sun and to keep it fresh. Aloe veras have been used for a thousand of years already. These desert lilies can be easily grown even in pots. The first thing I knew about aloe vera is that it is good for the scalp and those with balding hair. Not all knew that aloe vera also does wonders on the skin.

Studies have shown that aloe vera speeds the healing process, particularly in burns, including those from radiation. It is also used by dermatologists to speed healing after facial dermabrasion, which removes scars from the skins top layers. Basically, what it does is to moisturize and soften skin, heal bites and burns, kill fungus and bacteria and improve modern sunscreen products' effectiveness.
