Heroes New Chapter: Fugitives

Posted by Bryan Karl | Saturday, December 20, 2008

Phew! The last episode for the "Villains" chapter for Heroes has recently came by. I am a very avid fan of Heroes from the first season until the latest episodes. Since Heroes is not shown here in local television, I have to wait for it to show up in the torrent sites. I will download the latest episode upon showing up in www.isohunt.com. I didn't know that the 13th episode for Season 3 will be the closing for the Villains chapter. That chapter was one of the coolest chapters since a lot of things happened. It is also interesting the way the antagonist role shifted from Sylar to Arthur Petrelli. I never thought Arthur would be defeated. But he was and I then wondered who the next antagonist would be now that Sylar (I prefer him to be the antagonist) was killed too (by Claire). I never expected it to be Nathan. Now I'm hating him - first he supported Arthur, now he is destroying the heroes. To think Peter saved him from Merydith's brother. Too bad. He has exposed his own people. As if he isn't one of the people he's trying to make into fugitives (it figures why the title says so). Now I will wait again for the 14th episode of the third season to be available for download. I CAN'T WAIT.

    Hi,

I believe that Arthur will be back the next season. He has the power of Adam and if anyone remove the bullet from his head, he should survive. Not unless someone blow his head off.

    Have a great day.

Hi myi4u! I really think Arthur is dead. The only way to kill Arthur/Claire/Sylar/Adam is through the back of the head and the bullet that Peter fired was straight up from the forehead till the back of Arthur's head. Sylar even got killed with a stone-like thing jabbed on the back of his head. So I think he's gone for good.

    Thanks for the comment.

This season has some challenges, but the episode where they lost their powers was really well done. After that, the rest of the episodes were awesome. I guess Seth Green is the turning point.

I still think the rescue of Hiro was pretty stupid. The writers kind of backed themselves into a corner on that one, I guess. Running really fast to go back in time and having that works so flawlessly just made me groan -- like the end of the 1970s Superman movie.

Nathan will make a really interesting antagonist. Unlike Sylar, Adam Monroe, or Arthur Petrelli, Nathan isn't evil. He's doing what he honestly believes is best for the world. He's trying to help others. Unlike the previous protagonists, he's not doing this for personal gain. And these actions are consistent with what he's done in the past.

The Nathan - Peter contrast is interesting because they are both doing "the right thing" to help the world. There are just two very different right things being done. Next season should be awesome.

    Hi Cromely,

Yeah cool. I didn't actually notice Nathan will be an interesting antagonist. I'm just plain disappointed of his definition of the "right thing". Anyways, I also believe next chapter would be awesome given the very exciting preview given on the last episode. Can't wait. But it's more than a month before the next episode will be shown, so time for Heroes hibernation first...
